Recycle Group A

Recycle Group A

With our topic of recycling we would would have our fourth grade class contact a class from another country.  We would like to see how their country deals with recycling and what kind of programs they have.  We would like the students to be able to contact a fourth grade class or the equivalent class which 10 year old are in from Switzerland.  Switzerland has the highest percentage rate of recycling on in the entire World.  We would like our students to ask these other students what do they do to recycle.  For example, do they have bins, pick up or drop off sites to recycle.  What are the laws for Recycling where they are located. Also what kind of advertisements do they see around their community that encourages recycling, and what do the adults in their lives tell them about recycling. Do they learn about the benefits of recycling, and the dangers of pollution? After we do that we would like them to write a comparison paper on what our community does for recycling and what theirs does.  We also would like to have them write what we need to do different as a community to make our recycling program better.
